We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong technical foundation and the drive to grow in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with senior engineers and maintenance staff to troubleshoot, support, and improve automated equipment on the plant floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose control system issues on the production floor, including sensors, actuators, PLCs, HMIs, and drives.
- Monitor and maintain input/output (I/O) signals for proper equipment function.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new control systems and modifications.
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance of automation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
- Document troubleshooting steps, system changes, and equipment performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program.
- Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, including inputs/outputs, circuits, and control logic.
- Hands-on aptitude for troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, or industrial automation systems is a plus (training provided).
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
