Data Metalcraft Inc. is a full-service metal fabricator and powder-coater specializing in complex weldments, cabinets and enclosures and electro-mechanical assemblies for leading OEMs. With an emphasis on emerging technologies, engineering expertise, and quality, our highly qualified team delivers complete solutions to complex fabrication programs.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced, executive-level Plant Manager to oversee Production, Quality, and Engineering departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring top quality, on-time product deliveries to customers, efficient job processing on the shop floor, proper staffing, training of operators, and risk reduction. This role demands a proactive, hands-on person with a strong background in operations, manufacturing, and people management. This role is a member of the Data Metalcraft Inc. Leadership Team and is responsible for a growing plant of 80+ headcount.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Oversee all production activities to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute manufacturing workflows, maximizing throughput and minimizing downtime.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Manage operator performance in agreement with schedule.
- Conduct operator feedback to improve performance of operators and train department leads in operator management.
- Determine and implement strategies for cost reduction.
- Optimize processes with automation to reduce manual effort.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement strategies, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Quality Integration:
- Address and assign KPIs to non-conformance issues through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support issue resolution between inspectors, production, and engineering teams
- Lead cross-functional teams working on rev changes to quality operating procedures and work instructions to ensure timely and accurate documentation
- Oversee internal audits to ensure adherence to written policies
- Oversee Health & Safety Board to collaborate with cross-functional team members, ensuring compliance with OSHA expectations and a positive work environment for operators
- Address Non-Conforming Product issues in a production environment, improving systems based on root cause analysis
- Lead corrective action implementations across the production environment
- Support on supplier qualification audits
Product & Process Engineering:
- Manage the engineering team for new part, new rev, change order, and prototype development processes
- Support process engineering efforts to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations
- Collaborate with sales teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable solutions
- Develop efficient internal processes of collaboration and communication across departments
Leadership, Training, & Team Development:
- Set KPIs and performance goals for a diverse team of reports, reporting on important metrics to leadership team
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to direct reports including production control supervisors, engineering, and quality manager
- Conduct reviews and administer performance plans if required
- Support training procedures and training maintenance across production departments
- Manage the recruitment and development of shop floor operators in cooperation with HR.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce waste.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic projects.
- Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving among teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in an manufacturing/operations/plant management role.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and production scheduling.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and train a diverse team.
- Proficiency in risk management and compliance procedures.
- Experience in implementing new systems and processes
- (Preferred) Metal fabrication or similar industrial environment experience

Salary: $120,500 - $160,500 + bonus plan
