Director, User Experience - Design at Macy's. Base pay range: $182,760.00/yr - $304,560.00/yr.

What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a team of user experience designers to deliver digital experiences that meet customer and business needs.
- Envision future channel user experiences for Macy's and Bloomingdale's Loyalty and Personalization across web and app to meet long-term and near-term goals and user needs (e.g., KPIs and user success metrics).
- Collaborate with executives, managers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to define, conceptualize, and design user-facing products.
- Partner with the UX leadership team to define the channel experience and ensure deliverables align with the user experience design vision.
- Work through channel design problems from concept to implementation: ideate products, design storyboards, workflows, interactions, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and design standards based on business goals and user research.
- Promote the user experience design across the company and contribute to making it a core process for improvement and innovation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader on user experience design across the company and the broader design community.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
Skills You Will Need
- Enterprise Leadership & Strategic Vision – Define and drive the user experience, vision, and digital engagement across Macy's and Bloomingdale's portfolios.
- Expertise designing for web and app – Deep knowledge of mobile and responsive web design, with user-centered design methodology.
- Cross-functional collaboration – Partner with technology, marketing, merchandising, and analytics teams to deliver integrated product experiences.
- Customer-Centric Mindset – Understand customer behaviors to shape personalized experiences and drive engagement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making – Use customer data, analytics, and experimentation to inform roadmaps and measure impact.
- Influencing & Negotiation – Influence senior leaders and stakeholders to align goals and secure resources.
- Agile Product Delivery – Lead through continuous delivery cycles with prioritization based on value and impact.
- Team Leadership & Development – Mentor high-performing designers and foster innovation and growth.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of UX/UI design experience across consumer applications with a focus on growth and engagement in web and native apps.
- 6+ years of leading successful teams.
- BA/BS in Design required; preferred fields include UX-related disciplines. Master's degree preferred.
