Substation Team Lead

Responsible for leading the technical execution of high voltage substation projects, partnering with project managers, assigning tasks, mentoring staff, and ensuring quality deliverables. The role also involves supporting proposal development, risk mitigation, and client engagement. This position offers the opportunity to gain management experience, with potential direct reports ranging from 3-4 initially, eventually expanding to 4-6. Candidates should be excited about management opportunities and possess strong technical abilities.

Lead technical execution of high voltage substation projects.

Partner with project managers to assign tasks and ensure quality deliverables.

Mentor and supervise staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Support proposal development and risk mitigation efforts.

Engage with clients to ensure project success.

Lead multiple projects and teams across various locations.

6+ years of technical design experience in high voltage substation projects.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Experience with IEEE and ANSI standards.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or Civil/Structural if strong on the physical side).

Experience in physical or Protection & Control (P&C) project types.

Strong leadership and multitasking abilities.

The pay range for this position is $67.00 - $79.32/hr.
