Ultrasound Technician Position

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. The Ultrasound Tech performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures for the demonstration/evaluation of general, obstetrical, vascular, and small parts imaging. Assists in invasive procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Per licensure requirement. Prefer at least one year performing all radiographic procedures in a hospital setting with competency in all ultrasound specialties.
• Must be either ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certified. ARDMS eligible is acceptable, but certification is expected within six months of hire unless an extension is granted.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
• All licenses and certifications must be kept current.
• Must be capable of making independent decisions, work under stress at times, and have good interpersonal skills.
