Ultrasound Technician Position

TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. The Critical Access Hospital, offering both inpatient and outpatient services along with 24-hour emergency services. The Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Program was established to assure access to healthcare services for rural residents. The program provides rural acute care hospitals with a range of opportunities for service enhancement and quality of care improvement. Quality healthcare and patient safety is our goal. TMC Bonham is managed by Texoma Medical Center, subsidiary of UHS.

The Ultrasound Tech performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures for the demonstration/evaluation of general, obstetrical, vascular, and small parts imaging. Assists in invasive procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Per licensure requirement. Prefer at least one year performing all radiographic procedures in a hospital setting with competency in all ultrasound specialties.
  • Must be either ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certified. ARDMS eligible is acceptable, but certification is expected within six months of hire unless an extension is granted.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.
  • All licenses and certifications must be kept current.
  • Must be capable of making independent decisions, work under stress at times, and have good interpersonal skills.
