We are excited to share the following opportunity on behalf of one of our portfolio companies in the food industry. Epipelagic's People Operations team will support the recruitment process.

About the Portfolio Company

Faai Inc. is a Boston-based startup on a mission to bring high-quality, ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat meals directly to our customers' doors. Our focus is on convenience, authenticity, and flavor, all delivered through a seamless user experience.

We are looking for a People and General Operations Associate to support the day-to-day operational management of our growing startup. This is a unique opportunity to join us early and help lay the foundation for operational excellence across the company.

Job Description:

• Support all human resources functions, including but not limited to recruitment, payroll processing, and compliance with local and federal laws
• Assist with business licenses, insurance, internal documentation, and compliance
• Manage warehouse setup, including entity registration, tax setup, permits, lease agreements, safety compliance, utilities, and insurance
• Organize travel and accommodation for staff and company guests.
• Track and manage budgets, expenses, receipts, and reimbursements
• Create reports, letters, and other documents related to operations
• Help prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow-up communications
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
• Must have exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize
• Must be a self-starter and fast learner
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must be proficient with Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, and iOS

Nice to Have

• Experience with early-stage startups and a passion for food
• Familiarity with warehouse operations
• Bilingual preferred but not required (Spanish/English or Mandarin/English speaker)

This is a full-time position in MA. Faai Inc.'s office is located in Cambridge, MA. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not being offered at this time. Limited travel around the northeast US may be expected.
