Description

The Maintenance Manager will lead capital and process projects from concept through installation and optimization, involving research, planning, purchasing, and coordination. This role drives maintenance initiatives and supports the Plant Manager with strategic projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure safe execution of all maintenance and work activities.
  • Promote a safe work environment through personal example.
  • Lead, coach, and schedule the maintenance team efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Interview, select, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel; manage disciplinary actions.
  • Assess equipment for safety, efficiency, and functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with machine guarding, LOTO, and other regulations.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of production equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts; mentor staff in Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, problem solving).
  • Support leadership in achieving Safety, Quality, Productivity & Delivery goals.
  • Assess and prioritize plant capital needs.
  • Manage projects to successful completion within budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred, or 7+ years relevant experience.
  • 3+ years in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with PLCs, servo drives, VFDs, drafting software, and MS Office.
  • Experience with industrial motor controls.
  • Team-oriented with strong accountability and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Servant leadership approach and problem-solving ability.
  • Models company Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Adherence to Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use hands for typing and calculations.
  • Adequate vision for close work and ability to walk throughout facilities.
  • Occasional moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching.
  • Ability to travel between facilities as needed.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and maintain balance on various surfaces.
