Private, East End based, family seeks an experienced, full-time House Manager / Executive Housekeeper to assist in the daily cleaning, care, and maintenance of their residence in East Hampton, NY. This is a full time, year-round, Senior-Level position consisting of a Monday through Friday scheule, with overriding flexibility for early or late hours as needed and requested. The ideal candidate will have experience supervising cleaning staff, be highly detail-oriented and have worked directly with vendors in previous roles. This position also includes provisioning, light housekeeping, and the willingness to serve and assist in the kitchen, when needed. The House Manager / Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for overseeing all interior aspects of the home, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and order and ensuring the property is pristine, organized, and well-maintained at all times. The successful applicant will be personable, organized and a team player with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- General housekeeping and organization of the household
- Ability to drive and willingness to provision food and household supplies
- Household organization and inventory to ensure the home and property are well-maintained and running efficiently
- Maintain residence for guest readiness at all times including stock levels on household / kitchen items
- Effective communicating and collaboration with principals on projects, timelines, etc.
- Manage and communicate with vendors and contractors
- Willingness to run routine errands such as dry cleaners, gourmet shops, farm stands, etc.
- Flexibility to assist family members in the kitchen
- Additional responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family and/or team
Requirements:
- Strong command of English language; outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
- 5-10 years of experience working in an Executive Housekeeper in a private residence REQUIRED
- Experience managing a team of 2+ Housekeepers as well as vendors REQUIRED
- Knowledge of household cleaning, laundry, organization, fine arts, and antiques
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities, with an above and beyond attitude
- Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner, exercising utmost discretion at all times
- Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
- Valid Driver's License is required, confident driver with a clean driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Compensation: $100k – $120k + stipend
All salaries are Dependent on Experience, References, and all candidates must be willing to submit themselves to a Federal Background Check.
