Combat Engineer Role Summary
No prior experience is necessary to excel as a Combat Engineer. This position requires enlistment in the U.S. Army or Army Reserve.
As a Combat Engineer, you'll work efficiently and effectively to help Soldiers navigate during combat missions by constructing bridges, clearing barriers with explosives, and detecting and avoiding mines and other environmental hazards. You'll provide expertise and come up with quick engineering solutions, constructing fighting positions, fixed and floating bridges, and obstacles and defense positions.
The skills you'll acquire are aligned with Construction & Engineering, Demolition & Explosives, and Operate Heavy Equipment. Additionally, you could earn 45 nationally recognized certifications.
