Overview

Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform some of Pfizer's most critical business questions. The Commercial Analytics team collaborates across the globe to turn data into meaningful insights that directly impact patients' lives and Pfizer's data-driven strategy. We are looking for a dynamic leader with deep industry knowledge of commercial data assets and advanced analytics experience to advance the long-term data strategy for US Vaccines. The Director, Vx Data Product Management is responsible for data management and governance of secondary and internal data assets within Pfizer with a focus on advancing data and analytics capabilities for US Vaccines. The role will oversee the data governance operational network and drive data stewardship and data strategy for decision enablement, collaborating with Digital DevOps, Master Data Management, Performance Analytics & Insights (PAI), Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS), and Data Science.

The Director, Vx Data Product Management will lead a team of data engineers and manage the suite of Data Products essential to the Vaccines Data Strategy, including key assets and models described below.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the U.S. Vaccines data asset ecosystem to ensure data quality, data integrity, and data availability for 500+ U.S. Vx data users.
  • Maintain and enhance Vx foundational capabilities (e.g., APS model, RSV split model, Public/Private split model, Central Purchasing model, Manufacturer Loyalty model).
  • Enable U.S. Commercial Vx performance reporting and Sales Force Incentive Compensation programs using high-quality Vx data assets.
  • Own the U.S. Commercial Vx customer backbone (Business Account Construct) to ensure consistent customer data across HQ analytics to sales pull through.
  • Partner with CMO IIS, CMO Data Science, Vx OE, and Digital teams to identify new Vx data assets to support short- and long-term strategic priorities.
  • Pioneer new capabilities using Gen AI and other AI advancements to enable rapid decision-making across the U.S. Commercial Vx BU.

Basic Qualifications
  • BA required, MS preferred (fields include operations research, data science, statistics, or computer programming)
  • 8+ years (BA) or 7+ years (MS) of experience in data strategy, data management and/or commercial analytics (biopharma/healthcare preferred)
  • 5+ years leading a team of data engineers and/or analytics professionals
  • Deep understanding of data types/sources used for vaccines commercial analytics
  • Robust knowledge of data integration and data model design approaches
  • Proven experience building analytic data engineering pipelines
  • Strong analytical and communication skills translating business needs into data asset design
  • Experience building scalable data product solutions across brands and business units
  • Experience partnering with Digital/IT to implement robust production data products
  • Deep understanding of commercial secondary analytics
  • Key technical skills: SQL, Python, scripting; File storage (S3); Cloud databases; GitHub; Organizational, communicational, and collaborative abilities; ability to train others; Vx business knowledge; strategic mindset; organized
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and data product management
  • Experience with third-party data vendors in staff augmentation or project-based models
  • Gen AI (LLMs) experience
Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment
  • Occasional travel to other major Pfizer sites

Salary and benefits: The annual base salary ranges from $156,600 to $261,000. Eligible for Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a target bonus of 20% and participation in long-term incentives.
