Position Overview

We're looking for a mathematically-minded professional to serve as our Quantitative Analyst, supporting critical business functions including financial management, risk analysis, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to apply strong quantitative skills across financial modeling, risk analysis, and operational support while directly impacting our company's growth and success.

About the Role

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Analysis:

• Maintain and analyze financial models, forecasts, and reporting systems
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics
• Assist in budget planning and variance analysis

Risk Analysis & Modeling:

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across various business lines
• Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing and reserving
• Perform statistical analysis on claims data and loss patterns
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risk trends

Operational Support:

• Provide analytical support for strategic business decisions
• Support administrative functions as needed in startup environment
• Collaborate with internal teams on data analysis and reporting needs

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related quantitative field
• 2-3 years of professional experience in quantitative analysis, preferably in insurance, finance, or related industry
• Experience with financial modeling and risk assessment

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and statistical software
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• Familiarity with programming languages for automation and analysis
• Knowledge of insurance industry fundamentals and regulations (preferred)

• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in quantitative work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate complex analysis into actionable business insights

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications (CFA, FRM, ASA, or similar)
• Experience with insurtech or fintech companies
• Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques

In your first year, success will be measured by:

• Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis
• Quality of risk assessments and model development
• Contribution to operational efficiency improvements
• Effective support of strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects
• Development of scalable analytical processes and systems
