Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Center Engineer for a contract-to-hire position in Nashville, TN. This position will be a Thursday to Monday 12 am - 8 am EST - 3rd shift. Compensation: $23.00 - 26.00 per hour. Responsibilities The data center engineer will be responsible for carrying out critical project tasks and day-to-day operations. Those tasks and operations will require someone with good problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. Tasks will vary from being as simple as correcting a cable label to installing all equipment in a rack and simple configurations within the network switches and UCS managers. Requirements 3 years of experience working in large scale data centers and fast paced environments. Extensive experience with rack/stacking/cabling in data centers and around production equipment. Knowledge of Cisco UCS platforms (equipment, configurations & setup) Data Center Inventory Management tools such as Nlyte or Sunbird (Nlyte preferable) Copper and Fiber cabling knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities. Ability to fully troubleshoot and repair server blades from dimm replacements to motherboard replacements. Microsoft Excel understanding will also be a plus.
