Job description

Licensed Practical Nurses are vital members of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness. LPNs at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, under the direction of a Registered Nurse are:

• Performing nursing care tasks consistent with individual treatment plans
• Administering medication
• Attend to individuals' personal care needs including daily living and hygiene tasks
• Collect blood samples
• Observe patients and report changes in their condition.
• take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure.
• obtain specimens for analysis and perform other medical procedures as ordered by a physician.
