Role Specific

The Enterprise Tech Integration Technology Office (ITO) is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Director to join the team. As a Director of Project Management, you will be uniquely positioned to have line of sight and influence over transformation initiatives with impacts across multiple lines of business. You will partner with lines of business and horizontal Technology teams to help them flawlessly execute their top priorities, lead complex initiatives, and ensure well-managed, timely and effective delivery. You will escalate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders to ensure appropriate execution as part of a high performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive some of the top strategic initiatives across the Enterprise Tech organization.

Responsibilities: Project Management

• Demonstrates a proven track record of excellent program management, showing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic, complex environment
• Drive all phases of project management from feasibility to close-out
• Apply project management methodology and standards; ensure project documents are complete and up to date
• Demonstrate cross-functional teamwork, communication, negotiation and leadership across all levels
• Partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to drive project delivery
• Work with cross-functional teams and influence others to align toward common goals despite constraints
• Create transparency and foster relationships with adjacent teams

General Responsibilities

• Proven ability to build a team strategy and lead a team of associates toward top performance
• Understanding of financial systems and technology processes
• Operate strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills; manage multiple priorities, prioritize by impact, and make tradeoffs to meet deadlines
• Effective communicator with the ability to create clarity among diverse groups
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills; establish metrics and use data to measure operational efficiency and partnership effectiveness
• Ask tough questions and challenge the status quo

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 7 years of Process, Project, or Program Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters in Business Administration
• 10+ years of Process, Project, or Program Management experience
• 3+ years of Operations experience
• 7+ years of People Management experience
• 2+ years of Learning & Development experience
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location and refer to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Locations and ranges include: Chicago, IL: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Project Management McLean, VA: $200,100 - $228,400 for Director, Project Management Richmond, VA: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location. The actual offer will be reflected in the candidate's offer letter. This role is eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
