Overview

Depaul USA seeks a visionary leader to diversify revenue and unite program cities under a shared mission to end homelessness with dignity. Reporting to the Board of Directors of Depaul USA with a dotted line to the Group Chief Executive of Depaul International, the CEO will be the strategic and operational leader of Depaul USA. This role spans strategic direction, fundraising, operations, program excellence, and national advocacy. The ability to lead with cultural humility and advance equity within both staff and community partnerships is required. The CEO will embody Vincentian values, fostering a high-performing and inclusive workplace. As part of Depaul International which operates in seven countries, the CEO will have the opportunity to collaborate with and leverage the global network.

About Depaul USA and Impact

Depaul USA is a dynamic, faith-inspired national nonprofit on a mission to end homelessness and change lives. Founded in 2009 as part of the global Depaul International Group, the organization launched its first program in Philadelphia serving 60 men. Today, from its Chicago headquarters, Depaul USA operates in 12 cities, runs 27 programs, and impacts more than 6,800 individuals each year. The organization is governed by a dedicated 14-member Board of Directors, has a combined capital and operating budget of $11.6M, 140 staff (70 FTEs) and a corps of volunteers.

What you will contribute

• Lead the organization in strategic direction, fundraising, operations, program excellence, and national advocacy.
• Diversify Depaul USA's funding sources to fuel growth and sustainability.
• Act as the lead ambassador for the brand and face of the organization, building relationships across geographically dispersed teams and communities.
• Foster cultural humility and advance equity within staff and community partnerships.
• Embed Vincentian values to create a high-performing, inclusive workplace.
• Collaborate with Depaul International and leverage the global network for best practices and opportunities.
• Develop and manage budgets, set financial priorities, and ensure fiscal stewardship.
• Provide leadership to a national network of programs and drive service delivery improvements for unhoused populations.
• Report to or work with the nonprofit board to align strategy with mission and governance.

Qualifications and Experience

• An undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience is required; an MBA or graduate degree is preferred.
• A minimum of ten years of senior-level management experience is sought.
• Ability to travel 20-25%, with one–two international trips annually.
