This position is part of the Pest Elimination GIS Planning Team, which supports expanded spatial-based business intelligence and territory planning applications with route and sales planning. Under general supervision, The Sr. GIS Analyst analyzes spatial data through mapping software discovering patterns and trends. Performs data mining and cleaning to convert disparate data into desired format, leverages digital map library in various file types and other various data sets to explain geographic trends and findings. Layers internal and external topographical data to expose new business insights. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex GIS analysis and modeling routines to effect key decision making. Produce maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data and statistics. Leads GIS components of strategic divisional technical projects. Interfaces directly with other GIS developers and analysts to support the development and automation of GIS information and processes to meet changing business needs.

Your work will help to enable a consistent, coordinated, and proactive GIS-based planning approach by bringing new insights into business operations that increase field service and sales efficiency through the identification and application of spatial-based business intelligence insights. Position reports to GIS manager.

  • Provide detail and summary reporting on GIS analytics.

  • Coach business partners and users in understanding and adapting GIS information and analysis outputs.

  • Document methodologies used in the execution of requests and standard reporting.

  • Develop and maintain a professional rapport with team members.

  • Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with project team and management staff.

  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Spatial Science, Computer Science, Business, planning, or a related field.

  • Experience using ESRI software products involving GIS data development, manipulation, modeling, and analysis.

  • Minimum of five years' experience with proven growth in advanced, complex GIS analysis and problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of ESRI software products.

  • Experience with Network Analyst tools and functionality.

  • The ability to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to apply knowledge and develop maps, information, and reporting that support decision-making.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines.

  • Comfortable leading working sessions (screen sharing) with non-GIS stakeholders.

  • Experience in business analysis and applied GIS toward territory and/or route design.

  • Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and develop advanced skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.

  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing applications.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $94,100.00 - $141,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
