As Associate Director for Counseling Services, you'll play a key leadership role in student wellbeing, shaping both individual student experiences and the development of the next generation of mental health professionals through Pace's APA-accredited Health Service Psychology Internship Program.

Key Responsibilities

    Provide personal, academic, vocational, and educational counseling to students.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Oversee the APA-accredited Health Service Psychology Internship Program, including recruitment, orientation, supervision, evaluation, and accreditation compliance.
  • Lead and coordinate externship activities and supervision seminars.
  • Supervise doctoral interns and externs in screening and psychotherapy.
  • Consult with faculty, administrators, and staff on student mental health and development.
  • Partner with the Director of Counseling to prepare reports, represent the Counseling Center, and support university-wide initiatives.
  • Play a leadership role in campus crisis management and emergency preparedness.
  • Organize quality assurance surveys and manage trainee caseloads, schedules, and program calendars.

What You'll Bring:

  • Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensure (or license-eligible within one year) as a Psychologist in New York State.
  • Strong administrative and clinical experience in a university counseling center or similar setting.
  • Experience supervising mental health professionals.
  • Training in APA-accredited programs.
  • Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
