As Associate Director for Counseling Services, you'll play a key leadership role in student wellbeing, shaping both individual student experiences and the development of the next generation of mental health professionals through Pace's APA-accredited Health Service Psychology Internship Program.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal, academic, vocational, and educational counseling to students.
- Deliver crisis intervention and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Oversee the APA-accredited Health Service Psychology Internship Program, including recruitment, orientation, supervision, evaluation, and accreditation compliance.
- Lead and coordinate externship activities and supervision seminars.
- Supervise doctoral interns and externs in screening and psychotherapy.
- Consult with faculty, administrators, and staff on student mental health and development.
- Partner with the Director of Counseling to prepare reports, represent the Counseling Center, and support university-wide initiatives.
- Play a leadership role in campus crisis management and emergency preparedness.
- Organize quality assurance surveys and manage trainee caseloads, schedules, and program calendars.

What You'll Bring:
- Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
- Licensure (or license-eligible within one year) as a Psychologist in New York State.
- Strong administrative and clinical experience in a university counseling center or similar setting.
- Experience supervising mental health professionals.
- Training in APA-accredited programs.
- Excellent organizational and supervisory skills.
