Position Summary:

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment and facilities within a fast-paced food and beverage environment. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Scheduling:
    • Develop and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
    • Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Prioritize work orders based on safety, production impact, and resource availability.
  • Work Order Management:
    • Review and process maintenance work requests.
    • Create detailed job plans including labor, materials, tools, and estimated time requirements.
    • Ensure accurate documentation of completed work orders and maintenance history.
  • Inventory & Procurement:
    • Monitor spare parts inventory and initiate procurement to ensure availability.
    • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source parts and services.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    • Support root cause analysis and reliability initiatives.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and regulatory requirements.
    • Promote a culture of safety and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a food and beverage or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or similar CMMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
