Molecular Research Technician – Food Safety R&D
Location: Saint Louis, MO
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
About the Role
We are seeking a Molecular Research Technician to support our Biomonitoring R&D team in expanding the food pathogen diagnostics portfolio. This role is ideal for candidates with PCR/qPCR experience and strong molecular biology skills who are motivated to contribute to food safety innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PCR/qPCR assays and molecular biology experiments.
- Work safely in a BSL-2 laboratory with strict PPE requirements.
- Apply aseptic technique to handle foodborne pathogens.
- Assist with studies, background research, and lab maintenance.
- Document and analyze data, ensuring compliance with GDP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology).
- 1–3 years of molecular biology lab experience.
- Hands-on PCR/qPCR expertise.
- Experience in BSL-2 labs and food microbiology preferred.
- Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
