Junior Compliance Reporting Analyst
We are seeking candidates for a Junior Compliance Reporting Analyst position with a highly successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This position will be responsible for performing compliance reporting functions while assisting the Compliance Reporting Team. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of compliance reporting experience, preferably within a finance or investment compliance industry.
This is a 4+ month contract position that will pay $25-30/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour work week. This position will be required to be onsite 3 days per week in their Boston office.
Responsibilities:
Support the Compliance Reporting team with recurring and periodic reporting activities related to both Client Reporting and Corporate Compliance Reporting functions across global jurisdictions.
Leverage analytical and research skills to interpret and apply reporting requirements for various investment and corporate compliance obligations in both U.S. and international regulatory environments.
Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate management, client, and regulatory reports, ensuring timely and thorough documentation in line with internal controls and compliance standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Risk, and Operations, to gather necessary data inputs and ensure reporting accuracy and completeness.
Participate in ad-hoc projects and special assignments, including process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and the development of new reporting templates or dashboards. Stay informed on changes to relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and contribute to updating internal reporting procedures accordingly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field is required.
1–3 years of experience within the Finance or Investment Compliance industry, with direct involvement in compliance reporting functions.
1 year of hands-on experience with compliance systems, tools, or data platforms supporting reporting processes.
Demonstrated understanding of compliance reporting workflows, including client reporting and corporate compliance obligations.
Exposure to regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements in both U.S. and non-U.S. jurisdictions.
Basic proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), Tableau, or Power BI for generating and interpreting reports.
Familiarity with finance, compliance, and regulatory operations, as well as an ability to understand complex reporting structures and requirements.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team environment and across departments.
