About the Role

The purpose of this position is to manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings.

What You'll Do
  • Manage a team of technicians and engineers to ensure building systems are operating efficiently and without issue, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and oversee execution of all building repairs, renovations, and improvements.
  • Conduct regular building inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Manage and oversee relationships with external vendors, including cleaning services, security, landscaping, maintenance contractors, and other service providers.
  • Manage vendor performance, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Obtain and evaluate bids for services and materials.
  • Partner with local site and account leadership to develop and implement emergency procedures, evacuation plans, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any identified hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security regulations.
  • Coordinate office moves, expansions, and reorganizations.
Other Duties
  • Budget Management
  • Develop and manage the site facilities budget, including forecasting and budget control.
  • Monitor expenditures and track variances.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Client and Partner Relationship Management
  • Act as a liaison between the company and clients/partners regarding facility-related matters.
  • Address and resolve any facility-related concerns or complaints from clients and partners.
  • Coordinate facility access and services for clients and partners as needed.
  • Ensure the facility reflects a positive and professional image to clients and partners.
  • Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.
  • Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.
  • Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.
  • Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
  • Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
  • Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
What You'll Need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred with focus on business, technical or management areas. Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training. Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of leases, contracts and related documents. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Facility Management certification preferred. Driver's license required.
