Responsibilities
  • Provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate managers and employees at a site performing highly specialized roles in several major functions or departments, including long-term planning, objective setting, policy formation, interpretation and management with latitude to subordinates.
  • Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-national or global basis. Manages P&L responsibility for site operations or operational accountability for global business units.
  • Develops new strategies, policies, practices, methods, programs or techniques and utilizes them to analyze and interpret difficult problems or situations and/or establish new strategic direction that is site- or multi-site specific.
  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Responsible for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods and employees in a functional area. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters to achieve objectives.
  • Directs and controls activities of a broad functional area through several department managers. Sets objectives, reviews performance, and approves employee compensation. Coaches for improved performance.
  • Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers, including negotiations and influencing/ persuading other senior managers. May represent the organization in public speaking or community events.
  • Provides leadership for the broader SCM team, including hiring, promotions, and HR practices. Engages in cross-functional activities such as benchmarking, external audits, and driving improvements across the organization.
  • Reviews ISO compliance and SCM business controls. Identifies and implements cost reduction activities. Maintains communication with customers regarding demand, commitments, non-performing inventory, and future process changes/ improvements.
Detailed Description
  • Maintains responsibility for large site SCM activities or multi-customer activities; involved in other site process and application implementations.
  • Provides leadership to multiple departments on structuring processes, layouts, and resources.
  • Maintains external contacts to understand best-of-breed processes to improve costs and logistics offerings.
  • Implements structure to meet future customer and process requirements.
  • Oversees day-to-day issues related to warehouse, transportation, internal parts flow, security and controls, inventory management, purchasing contracts and non-production activities, applications and process changes.
  • Provides direction on major projects, such as warehouse software upgrades or Advanced Planning System tool enhancements.
  • Directs managers on objective setting, HR activities and company procedures. Facilitates regular coaching and feedback with direct reports and their teams.
  • Leads the broader SCM team, including hiring and performance management.
  • Engages in cross-functional activities, benchmarking, and interaction with external auditors; drives actions and improvements across the organization.
  • Assesses ISO compliance and SCM business controls and identifies cost-reduction opportunities. Maintains customer communications related to demand, commitments, and process changes.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Extensive knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, distribution methods, global transportation services and inventory management.
  • Ability to understand the complete supply chain and resolve issues across areas.
  • IT concepts and integrated business applications proficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export, regulatory and logistics management.
  • Analytical, negotiation and problem-resolution skills; effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of managers and employees; cross-functional collaboration across sites.
Physical Demands
  • Office environment; extended periods of sitting and visual concentration at a computer.
  • Repetitive manual movements (data entry, mouse, calculator) frequently required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Typical Experience
  • Twelve plus years of relevant experience.
Typical Education
  • Bachelor\'s degree in related field (Business or Engineering), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
Salary Range

Salary Range: $190k-$215k Annually
