Maintenance Manager - Distribution Facility Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 base (depends on experience) + $13,000 target bonus + ~$3,700 restricted stock annually
Position Summary The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the technical and professional leadership of the maintenance department in a high-volume distribution environment. This role ensures the reliability of equipment, buildings, and facilities, driving asset preservation at a reduced operating cost. The Manager will set direction for the team, oversee budgets and capital projects, and partner cross-functionally to maintain world-class safety, compliance, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day leadership for the maintenance team; set priorities, coach, and conduct performance reviews.
- Ensure maintainability and reliability of all facility equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
- Plan, budget, and execute capital improvement projects related to technology, equipment, and facilities.
- Partner with Engineering and leadership to refine preventive and predictive maintenance programs, associate training, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Monitor maintenance inventory levels; select effective and cost-efficient suppliers.
- Establish sanitation and compliance goals; maintain documentation to meet or exceed regulatory standards.
- Perform engineering/root cause analysis on critical and repetitive failures; implement corrective actions.
- Analyze equipment history to identify trends, optimize performance, and reduce downtime.
- Administer PM/PPM programs across all equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement in energy management, utility control, and workforce efficiency.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree OR 2+ years equivalent education/experience (Engineering preferred).
- Previous background as a Plant Engineer or Maintenance Planner/Scheduler a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CMMS experience strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate, train, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel independently (up to 20%).
