Overview A busy family of four is seeking an experienced live-out nanny to care for their two children, aged 5 months and 18 months. The schedule is to be determined but will be approximately 40 hours per week, typically 9am–5pm. The parents are flexible, as they work from home most days, and the older child attends daycare five days a week. The family has a love for animals and owns a hypoallergenic miniature Schnauzer and a miniature pig. Both animals spend most of the day outside. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, be self-motivated, and kind. The family ideally want a candidate who would like to stay and grow with their family. The role is to start as soon as possible.Responsibilities
- All aspects of childcare, including nap, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Handling baby laundry and maintaining organization of the child's spaces
- Child-related meal preparation
- Helping with the weaning process, the parents prefer baby-led weaning
- Keeping on top of child-related supplies and making necessary purchases
- Sorting the children's clothes and equipment as they outgrow them
- Creating an engaging environment and providing developmentally appropriate enrichment daily
- Researching classes and encouraging the children's social development
- Light tidying of common spaces throughout the day
Qualifications
- Engaging, loving, and warm
- Flexible, reliable, and trustworthy
- Interest in a long-term role
- Happy to work as a team with hands-on parents
- Experience with babies and preschoolers
- At least 10-15 years of experience
- Occasional babysitting
- Traveling with the family would be a bonus, but is not currently required
Requirements
- Driving is required (a car will be provided for work use)
- US work authorization
- Current CPR certification
