Job Description
The Admissions Assistant supports the admissions and enrollment functions for all ISMMS academic
programs. The position provides application instructions to prospective applicants, processes incoming
documents, updates applications, provides support for the applicant selection and interview processes, assists
with prospective student events, and provides excellent customer-service in responding to applicant inquiries
and requests from the school community. The Admissions Assistant provides administrative support to the
Enrollment Services Department and the Admissions Office.
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree preferred
Previous higher education work experience preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Strong team player
Strong technical skills, including MS Office required
Experience in working in a fast paced office preferred
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem solve, multi-task, and understand the big picture

Responsibilities
Serves as front-line representative of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Admissions Office
Answers telephone, provides information, screens and transfers calls, relays messages, and greets visitors to the Admissions Office
Picks up, opens, sorts, distributes, and prioritizes mail
Responds to emails from prospects and applicants for all programs
Develops and maintains working knowledge of admission processes and associated technological tools
Downloads, retrieves, and processes all application documents received electronically
Performs all phases of application processing, including scanning and importing applicant documents and updating applicant checklists and records
Creates, processes and documents various pre-enrollment requirements for new students
Processes Visiting MD Student Applications
Provides support to on-campus and virtual events for prospective and new students
Provides administrative support for the MD application screening and interview processes
Provides assistance to Senior Associate Dean and Director with select projects and initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation Statement
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.6084 - $32.3262 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
