All casework supervision and training is provided by WVDHHR. The caseworker is required to meet the requirements and standards established by WVDHHR. The Caseworker manages a caseload of youth services clients as assigned. The Caseworker is an employee of Youth Services System, Inc. and is subject to all YSS policies and procedures. This employee will ensure compliance with safe work practices and maintain safe environments in compliance with established agency standards, licensing regulations and generally accepted practices Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide case work services to assigned clients.
- Ensure an adequate and comprehensive assessment of client needs.
- Develop and plan for identified services and ensure services are provided.
- Assess client for ongoing needs and link to the provision of services.
- Advocate for client and family needs and services with court systems, human service providers, health systems, as well as other community service providers, agencies or institutions.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, reassesses client needs and develop further interventions based on continuing assessment and evaluation of progress.
- Develop and maintain complete, accurate case record documentation by established timelines.
- Travel on behalf of client for client needs and services.
- Attend all meetings and court hearings involving clients.
- Attend training as scheduled
- Maintain a current social work license.
- Actively participate in supervision with assigned supervisor.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet client needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain clear personal and professional boundaries
- Experience working with youth and community members
- Ability to work effectively in constantly changing and sometimes demanding or chaotic environment.
- Experience working with a diverse population, with sensitivity to differences in culture, religion, sexual orientation, race, age and physical and mental illness.
- Strong public speaking skills
- Ability to communicate well both orally and in written form, and follow detailed instructions.
- Knowledge of community resources
- Computer skills including the use of Microsoft office
- Valid Driver's License
Education and Experience: Requires Bachelor degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related human service field; requires experience working with at-risk youth; prefers Life Skill instruction experience and case management Must have valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance as required by law
