Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large healthcare company that is looking for a Director of HR for two of their nursing homes in the Queens, NY area. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices, outstanding people skills to partner with our leadership team to set and meet corporate goals and to collaboratively work with our employees in all aspects of the Human Resource function. Salary is based upon experience and there is a benefits package offered.
Responsibilities
- Proactively provide strategic HR direction to the organization, developing and implementing human resources policies, programs and services to support organizational growth and development.
- Maintain positive employee relations and resolve employee concerns through meetings with managers, supervisors and others.
- Advise senior staff on policy and regulatory compliance with City, State and Federal employment laws. Ensure company and HR policies and goals are being met.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies.
- Recommend and implement best practices.
- Work with HR and leadership team staff to boost employee retention, and address talent management goals and issues.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Human Resources experience in a management role in a Skilled Nursing Home or other long-term care facilities.
- Must possess working knowledge of labor law and union relations.
- Strong judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with payroll.
