Human Resources Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a seamless transition into the organization.
- Maintain and update HR information systems (HRIS) with accurate employee data and records.
- Assist in conducting background checks and verifying employment documentation.
- Support employee relations initiatives by addressing inquiries and providing guidance on HR policies.
- Collaborate with the safety team to uphold workplace compliance and safety standards.
- Prepare and manage HR documentation, including contracts, policies, and employee communications.
- Facilitate the administration of benefits and payroll-related processes.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
- Provide administrative support to HR leadership, including scheduling meetings and preparing reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources or a related field.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and administrative tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding processes effectively.
- Knowledge of employee relations practices and labor laws.
- Experience conducting background checks and handling sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance protocols in a manufacturing environment.
