Job Description
Join a fast-paced Emergency Department at Rochester Regional Health System, providing care for adults and geriatric patients across all emergency diagnoses. This assignment offers hands-on experience with trauma, neuro, cardiac, and critical care interventions. First-time travelers are welcome.
Requirements
- Licensure: NY RN license in hand required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year ER experience (2 years preferred)
- Charting System: Epic (required)
- Certifications:
- Required: ACLS, BLS
- Preferred: PALS*, TNCC*
- Skills & Procedures:
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care
- Arterial line management*, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation*
- Procedural sedation*, ventilated patient care, CPAP/BiPAP
- Dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Trauma care: gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations*
- Neuro care: CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI
Unit Details
- Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1:5
- Nights: Varies
- Weekends: 1:5
- Staffing Support: IV Teams, Respiratory, Radiology, PT, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Unit Secretary
- Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment
- Certification Programs: STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $66.03/hr total
- W2 (taxable): $18/hr
- Non-taxable stipend: $48.03/hr
- Weekly Gross: $2,377
- W2: $648/week
- Non-taxable: $1,729/week
- Overtime: $27/hr on W2
- Charge Pay: $3/hr
- On Call: $8/hr

- Candidates must be outside 75-mile radius of the facility
- Floating required
- Modules are billable up to 5 hours pre-start
