Setting: 78-bed general hospital – Geriatric Psych Unit
Role Overview:Provide care for geriatric adults with multiple medical comorbidities. Patients are often total care. The unit manages depression, SI, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and complex medical-psychiatric cases. Responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic groups, managing involuntary and voluntary statuses, and implementing restraints or seclusion when required.
Required:
CT RN License
CPI or CMT Certification
BLS
Experience in psychiatric nursing
Preferred:
Med/Surg experience helpful
