As an IBM Z Mainframe Hardware (zHW) Brand Technical Specialist within IBM, you\'ll lead the definition and hardware architecture of end-to-end solutions that include the IBM Z platform. Considered the go-to expert, you\'ll understand your client\'s broad technical strategy and challenges and articulate the benefits of IBM Z solutions to deliver value. You\'ll advocate for clients and guide technical teams to ensure planning, builds and deployments run smoothly and delight customers. Responsibilities
  • Strategic Mainframe Solutions: Crafting client strategies for mainframe infrastructure and applications.
  • Comprehensive zStack Solutions: Defining and detailing IBM zStack solutions for client enhancement.
  • Effective Client Education: Delivering simplified proof of concepts and educating clients.
  • Building Trust for zStack Deals: Building trust for closing complex zStack technology deals.
  • Client-Centric Management for IBM\'s Technology Value: Managing a client set to showcase IBM\'s technology value proposition and ensure clients realize the full potential of IBM solutions.
  • Comprehensive Ownership for Growth: Taking ownership of the technical aspect of the sales process, translating client requirements into products and solutions.

You will build and provide critical resources to develop the best solution for the client, applying IBM brand strategies and offerings to ensure world-class design and delivery for complex IT and business solutions. You will actively engage clients, establishing trust and credibility in our ability to help them grow their businesses, solving strategic and tactical problems with IBM technology solutions.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Technical selling mindset, strong presentation skills, and the ability to grasp new technologies and relate them to customer needs.

  • Demonstrated technical expertise evidenced by working on opportunities that closed and contributed to them.
  • Ability to articulate key technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Technical hardware selling experience.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
  • Mainframe Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of the mainframe market to build a trusted advisory role; training in IBM\'s zStack brand is included.
  • Understanding of AI: How AI can be used in business applications in concert with the mainframe.
