Lab Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a Lab Technician to join our team in Georgetown, KY. In this role, you will support paint testing and robotic applications, contributing to the evaluation of new equipment, materials, and model projects. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tests and evaluations of new paint equipment and materials.
- Perform paint testing, including mixing paint, spraying test panels, and taking color and quality measurements.
- Program and operate paint robots, adjusting parameters to meet quality targets.
- Support the setup and maintenance of paint lab equipment, including robotic systems.
- Review test matrices and run trials under project lead guidance.
- Ensure lab cleanliness and assist with scheduled maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience preferred; open to recent graduates with relevant paint or robotic programming experience.
- Knowledge of robotic programming and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Toyopuc systems.
- Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated robotic paint applications.
- Background in paint manufacturing, formulation, or testing.
- 3D programming experience (a plus for upcoming projects).
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or additional certifications.
Location & Employment Type
- Location: Georgetown, KY
- Schedule: Onsite, 0% remote. Up to 15% overtime possible (including occasional Saturday shifts).
- Employment Type: 12-month contract with potential extension.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $36.41 – $38.41 /hour
