Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and managing data in our computer systems and databases. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of company records and ensuring efficient data processing across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter data into internal databases, spreadsheets, or software systems.
- Review data for errors, omissions, or inconsistencies; correct and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain and update customer, client, or vendor information in systems.
- Prepare and sort documents for data entry.
- Retrieve data from various sources as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive company and customer information.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Generate standard reports as requested by management.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, or document handling.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve data-related issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or additional certifications is a plus).
- Proven experience in data entry, administrative support, or a similar role.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (at least 40-60 WPM preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Google Workspace, and data entry software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of database systems is a plus.
