Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center (LMACCC) provides a warm, inclusive, and high-quality early education environment for young children. We're looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our amazing team.
What You'll Do
- Support the Center Director with daily operations
- Supervise the Float Teacher through check-ins and reviews
- Assist with hiring, including reference checks
- Open/close the Center and complete safety checks
- Keep child, staff, and volunteer files EEC-compliant
- Track and report weekly attendance
- Manage orders and inventory of food, supplies, and materials
- Greet families, answer phones, and direct inquiries
- Schedule waitlist tours and support prospective families
- Maintain accurate child records and reports
- Coordinate staff training and schedules
- Assist with communications and event planning
- Provide classroom coverage as needed
- Handle sick calls and arrange coverage with leadership
What You'll Need
- Administrative experience (childcare setting a plus)
- Knowledge of child development and best practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in early childhood or related field
- Bonus: EEC certification (Infant, Toddler, Preschool, or Director II)
