Job Title: Quality SeibiTechnician

Location: Princeton, IN 47670

Duration: 12 months

Pay Rate: $30-39/hr

Travel: 50% - up to 50% meaning you travel every other weekend for a couple months then no travel after that. Example. We have a project in Kentucky right now so we travel every other week. When the project is in Princeton then no travel.

Overtime: 25% - maybe around 20 hours of OT every 2 weeks.

Interview Process: 1st rd via Teams, 2nd onsite and somewhat hands on. 3rd rd if needed.

  • Notes:Mechanical Designer or 3D design with experience in the Tooling, jigs, fixtures, etc. FARO Arm and Laser or Vectroarm is too specific.
  • Someone from this type of environment (tooling, stamping, etc)
  • Years of experience: 1-3+ years ideally
  • My team consists of 11 members and 2 lead techs. We launch the new vehicles in the weld shop. We handle METROLOGY portion of the process. So we check and confirm jigs, measuring jigs, moving pins and data blocks to match the overall vehicle and part need.

  • What You'll be Doing:Provide effective written and verbal communication with Quality Seibi Team Members, BAC, Management and outside groups regarding dimensional information and issues that require resolution.
  • Gather/manage part information from Digital Engineering systems and drawings.
  • Analyze part/sub-assembly dimensional data and feedback to Project Leader and Seibi Management.
  • Perform equipment/tool/part confirmation utilizing Vectorarm, FARO Arm, FARO Laser Tracker, check fixtures, weld tooling/equipment measurements, and part fitting activities.
  • Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S. NAMCs and machine suppliers within the US and Mexico, as well as foreign travel to Canada and Japan. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays.

  • What We're Looking For:Check/confirm body weld jigs, tools, pallets, parts and assemblies to meet quality targets/KPIs for new model launch.
  • Prepare, troubleshoot and confirm new tooling/equipment, parts and sub-assemblies at various tool/equipment vendors. Support weld and tool quality confirmation activities at NAMCs from installation through SOP.
  • Create detailed Quality Seibi daily plans, Project Task Reports, Problem Follow Sheets, track activity status, coordinate Safety communications (JSA, CMs/remedies to unsafe conditions, & safety audits), and support daily/weekly verbal and written communication with the Quality Seibi Project Leader, BAC and Seibi Management.
