Overview

Job Title: Director of Supply Chain

Job Location: Boston MA fully on-site

Salary: $130-145k + Bonus

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management
  • 5+ years in a leadership role / managing direct reports
  • ERP experience
  • Strong understanding of supply chain functions, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution, as well as global supply chain dynamics and trade compliance
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Kanban, Six Sigma, or Lean certifications

Job Description

Our client in the manufacturing sector is offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Supply Chain. In this leadership role, you will oversee all supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency from procurement to distribution. You will drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement, while managing a team of supply chain professionals and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will manage vendor relationships to support the company\'s growth and customer satisfaction goals. This role requires strategic oversight, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company\'s supply chain strategy in line with business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee comprehensive supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the supply chain team to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify improvement areas and implement solutions.
  • Manage supplier and vendor relationships to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to anticipate potential supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements across all supply chain functions.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and finance departments to align supply chain operations with company needs.
  • Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements across the supply chain while maintaining quality standards.
  • Report on supply chain performance, risks, and achievements to senior leadership.
  • Implement and maintain technology solutions (e.g., ERP systems) to support supply chain processes and data management.
