Description

Join Leidos, a forward-thinking innovation company dedicated to tackling the world's significant challenges in national security and health. Our Global Supply Chain organization is on the lookout for a Subcontract Management Specialist to play a crucial role in supporting the programs, proposals, and business goals of the National Security Sector.

In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for managing the full life cycle of subcontract agreements supporting government programs, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable laws. You will be the main point of contact between subcontractors and the program for agreements typically characterized by low to moderate complexity and risk.

As a key player, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including program management, contracts, project control, and finance. Your ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision will be essential. You should be detail-oriented and thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Primary Responsibilities

Key activities for this role include:

  • Supporting proposal activities such as negotiating non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreements.
  • Preparing moderate to complex solicitation packages based on customer requirements.
  • Evaluating subcontractor proposals and conducting price analyses.
  • Negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
  • Managing subcontract awards and overseeing post-award processes including modifications, risk management, issue resolution, internal reporting, and closeout activities.

As you demonstrate proficiency and sound judgment, you'll tackle more complex assignments and resolve issues on assigned subcontracts, making informed recommendations to management.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree with relevant coursework.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate statuses and issues to management, internal partners, and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred educational background in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Experience with awarding and managing subcontracts within a government-approved purchasing system, with foundational knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills for pricing and terms.
  • Familiarity with automated purchasing systems, ideally Deltek Costpoint and iValua.
  • Possession of an active Security clearance is a plus, but not mandatory.

At Leidos, we crave individuals who break the mold and innovate. If you're eager, driven, and always looking to push boundaries, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Join us and become part of a team that not only navigates the present but also shapes the future with creativity and vision.
