Please note: This role is onsite in Cartersville, GA. Summary The Workers Compensation Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of workers compensation claims and programs at Qcells Cartersville, GA facility. This role ensures compliance with state and federal laws, facilitates effective return-to-work processes, and partners with internal teams and external vendors to reduce claims costs and promote employee health and safety. Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims including reporting, investigation, tracking, and closure.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between injured employees, management, medical providers, insurance carriers, and legal counsel.
  • Ensure timely reporting of workplace injuries in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of work-related incidents and collaborate with Safety, HR, and Operations teams to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain detailed records of all claims, communications, medical reports, and legal documentation.
  • Monitor claims status and work closely with third-party administrators (TPAs) and insurers to expedite claim resolution.
  • Coordinate and support return-to-work and modified duty programs to ensure a smooth transition back to work for injured employees.
  • Analyze claims trends and develop proactive strategies to reduce the frequency and severity of injuries.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and provide training or informational sessions on injury prevention and claims management.
  • Prepare regular reports on claims activity, costs, and risk exposure for management review.
Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in workers' compensation or claims management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, state workers compensation laws, and claims handling procedures.
  • Strong understanding of workplace injury management and return-to-work strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees, managers, insurers, and legal representatives.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills for managing sensitive documentation and multiple cases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS or claims management systems.

  • Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP)
  • Associate in Claims (AIC)
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification
