Description
Purpose of Position:
Paralegal to support both the Legal and HR teams in a variety of critical tasks, including contract review, legal research, and HR project support. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on legal matters, manage contracts, and assist with key HR initiatives across the organization, ensuring compliance with legal standards and supporting the successful execution of projects. You will play a vital role in maintaining legal and regulatory compliance, improving internal processes, and driving HR-related compliance projects forward.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with HR to lead compliance-focused projects (audits, policy updates, handbook revisions).
Conduct HR-focused legal research, including state-specific requirements.
Build and maintain HR processes and policies; ensure compliance across HR functions.
Coordinate employee sponsorship requests (e.g., H-1B) with employees and outside counsel.
Review payroll reports for compliance issues (e.g., wage and hour).
Provide contract review support as needed.
Monitor emerging laws/regulations and advise on HR impact.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all compliance work.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, HR, or related field (paralegal certification preferred).
2–3 years as a paralegal OR HR Legal Admin.
2–3 years in compliance administration.
Exposure to HR law and practices.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of HR compliance and employment law.
Skilled in legal research and summarizing findings.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Paralegal certification is preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
