As a Pharmacy Intern Trainee, you will:
- Gain valuable hands-on experience by following a comprehensive training roadmap that includes essential learning experiences and time spent with pharmacy leaders.
- Support pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and prompt prescription fulfillment while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assist in identifying patient needs and offering solutions with empathy and genuine care, including answering medical questions and counseling patients under a licensed pharmacist's supervision.
- Participate in wellness initiatives, including immunizations and health screenings, as permitted by law and supported by training.
- Work collaboratively with pharmacy team members while maintaining a commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the safety and effectiveness of pharmacy operations.
- Conduct inventory activities and assist with medication deliveries as directed by pharmacy leadership.
- Attend to customer interactions with a friendly demeanor, actively look for ways to help, and respond appropriately to feedback.
- Remain adaptable to changing schedules and business needs while contributing positively to team dynamics.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in, or accepted into, an ACPE accredited pharmacy college or school.
- Valid intern and/or technician licensure is required or in the process of obtaining.
- Prior experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or a customer service setting is preferred.
