Salary: $22.54 - $28.54 Hourly Location : Bemidji, MN Job Type: Full Time Job Number: 202500050 Department: Human Services Division: Economic Assistance Opening Date: 09/02/2025 Closing Date: 9/15/2025 4:30 PM Central The Position Beltrami County is creating an eligibility list for a full-time, benefited Case Aide to work in the Health & Human Services Consolidated Intake office, scheduling appointments, working closely with case managers and answering client questions across all programs. This position performs intermediate administrative support work involving the maintenance of client records in state information systems: processing applications, forms and verifications for program eligibility, maintaining client case files, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Economic Assistance Program Manager. Preferred hiring salary range is $22.54 to $24.62 per hour with a full range of $22.54 to $28.54 per hour. Placement depends on factors such as qualifications, internal equity, market conditions, and applicable policy guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Minimum requirements are:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three years or more of clerical, administrative assistant, office manager, case aide, or related work experience.

  • Reviews applications for County income maintenance assistance; ensures completion and verification.
  • Receives and organizes client paperwork per compliance requirements and processing deadlines; maintains client case files.
  • Directly engages with and pre-screens Health and Human Services clients to provide resources and general service, obtains and verifies information, explains programs and procedures, provides application forms; assists clients and provides ongoing support with application problem resolution.
  • Responds to client phone case status inquiries and complaints, answers process questions; enters and processes applications via computer systems; directs client phone calls to appropriate department.
  • Maintains application forms; processes audit requests; completes ongoing program training.

Physical Requirements This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands and fingersl, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling, frequently requires sitting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
