We are looking for an experienced and motivated Concrete Forming Crew Leader to oversee and guide our forming crew on construction sites. This leadership role is hands-on and critical to ensuring the successful execution of formwork for concrete structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete construction, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew in the setup, installation, adjustment, and dismantling of formwork for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and other concrete elements
- Interpret and communicate construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to crew members
- Coordinate daily tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure work is performed efficiently and accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and enforce job site safety rules and procedures
- Conduct job site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to meet project schedules and resolve field issues
- Monitor material and equipment needs; coordinate deliveries and maintain an organized work area
- Train and mentor crew members, promoting skill development and teamwork
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and daily progress
- Assist in concrete placement and finishing as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in concrete forming, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong understanding of concrete forming systems (e.g., wood, steel, gang forms, custom builds)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Physically capable of performing manual labor and working in outdoor conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
