As an Advanced Process Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will design, implement, and manage complex systems, driving innovation, safety, and efficiency. Work on cutting-edge projects and shape future technology solutions. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing process systems specifically for our LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) technologies. Your expertise will be critical in developing innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of our customers in the energy sector. You will report directly to our Technical Product Development Manager, and you'll work out of our Allentown, PA location on a Hybrid work schedule.The Advanced Process Systems Engineer is a key member of the Honeywell LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) execution team and is responsible for driving the work process with a multi-disciplined project team to produce Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's, or flowsheets). This engineer owns the P&ID throughout multiple phases of execution and captures the requirements for detailed design activities. It must be developed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure that project budget and schedule targets can be met by downstream design groups.As an Advanced Process Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will design, implement, and manage complex systems, driving innovation, safety, and efficiency.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering, specifically in LNG or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control methodologies specific to LNG operations.
  • Knowledge of PDF editing tools is required, preferably Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations relevant to LNG operations.
  • Proactive approach to seeking information and resolution on specific P&ID, (or flowsheets) development issues/specific safety aspects of plant design.

  • Experience in LNG facilities and familiarity with energy sector processes.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in LNG operations.

  • Proven experience in leading process improvement projects in the LNG sector.

  • Design and develop process systems for LNG plants to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of process design into LNG facilities.
  • Work with a multi-disciplined project team to produce opportunity-specific P&IDs, or flowsheets.
  • Review Process Flow Diagrams, Scope Reports, and Technical Descriptions.
  • Lead P&ID review meetings and follow up on technical issues raised by the project team.
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure that the designed plant is safe and complies with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that plant reliability, operability, and maintenance capabilities are adequately considered in the design.
  • Reference engineering specifications and standards to determine necessary information to display on the P&ID, or flowsheets.
  • Communicate with the drafting support team (utilizing Smartplant P&ID) to have details drafted and check the accuracy of drafted information.
  • Support continuous improvement opportunities to optimize business work processes.
