THE POSITION

As a Director of Data Analytics at Honeywell, you will hold a strategic leadership role overseeing the entire data analytics function. Your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic direction and guidance for data analytics initiatives, ensuring the efficient handling and analysis of large volumes of data. You will develop and implement data analytics strategies, dashboards, and procedures to drive business insights and support decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial to identify data requirements and ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity. You will drive data analytics activities, including data classification, data sources, and data security to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. Additionally, you will manage and execute data analytics and data migration projects, leveraging advanced techniques to transform raw data into actionable information. Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics will be a priority, as you will drive the development and implementation of data management tools and technologies. Your strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills will be instrumental in driving successful data management initiatives. You'll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule. As the Director of Data Program Management, you will provide strategic guidance and direction in managing and executing data-driven programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, driving operational efficiency, and delivering successful outcomes through effective program management practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of progressive experience in data analytics roles, with a demonstrated track record of leadership and achievement.
• Extensive knowledge of data analytics principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong expertise in data analytics, database design, and SQL.
• Experience with data analytics tools and techniques.
• Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for leveraging data to drive business outcomes.
• People manager with experience managing a team of 6 or more, including performance management, organization design, and fostering a positive team environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with staying ahead of industry trends and advancements in data management technologies.

PREFERRED

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data, or a related field
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong project management skills
• Experience in implementing data analytics tools and technologies
• Certification in data analytics or related field
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Shape the vision and strategic planning across the data analytics organization, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics roadmap aligned with organizational objectives and priorities.
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of data architecture, including models, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Establish and maintain data quality standards and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
• Drive thought leadership and innovation within the data analytics domain.
• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand requirements, identify opportunities for data-driven insights, and drive business value.
• Benchmark internally and externally to stay current with industry trends, including AI, ML, and big data technologies; assess impact and recommend strategic investments.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on data-related matters, providing insights and actionable intelligence.
• Mentor and develop analytics professionals.
• Remove barriers, manage escalations, and drive resolution.
