This position ensures that linens, towels and other hotel fabrics are clean, sanitized, and neatly presented for guest and staff use. - Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort laundry items by type, fabric, and color before washing.
- Pre-treat and spot-clean stained or soiled items.
- Fold, organize, and store cleaned laundry according to hotel standards.
- Monitor inventory of linens and report shortages or damage to housekeeping leadership.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry room at all times.
- Assist with delivery and retrieval of linens to and from guest rooms, housekeeping closets, and public areas as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including handling of chemicals and use of PPE.
- Support other housekeeping team members as needed.
Experience, Skills, and Education
- Proven experience as a professional cleaner or housekeeper or laundry attendant.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Physical stamina and mobility include ability to reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop and bend.
- Ability to push, lift and pull up to 50lbs. of wet and dry laundry. Using ergonomic equipment to assist.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Working quickly without compromising quality.
- Knowledge of English language.
- High school degree preferred.
