SALARY: Level 9 on the Secretarial/Clerical Salary Schedule. Experience increments depends on experience in the same or similar permanent position within a Washington State public school. Responsibilities 1. Oversees and assist in the operation of administrative and student offices in support of school and staff, ensuring a positive, professional image. This includes greeting students, staff, visitors and callers, handling their inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. 2. Serves as administrative assistant to the site administrators. 3. Coordinates and manages work flow of secretarial/clerical personnel including training new clerical staff in a variety of functions and overseeing substitutes. 4. Manages and coordinates office procedures associated with payroll, purchasing, inventory, ancillary budgets, and equipment. 5. Coordinates a variety of detailed program records, compiles data and performs calculations, i.e., budgets, student counts, enrollment, attendance, invoices and payment orders. 6. Maintain student records including registration, enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals for accurate data reporting and graduation requirements. 7. Assist with minor medical injuries, illnesses and may administer medication for students. 8. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional business/office related courses preferred. 2. Minimum three years of recent secretarial experience, two years of School District experience preferred. 3. Ability to accurately type 50 words per minute. 4. Advanced level knowledge of general computer skills, including Microsoft office programs, payroll software, financial software, single point of entry software, and student information system (i.e., PowerSchool) experience preferred. 5. Successful experience in managing and coordinating a busy office environment in a professional and courteous manner. 6. First Aid card preferred. Additional Information
Work Schedule - Days and hours (listed above) are subject to change depending on program and district needs.
