The Resident Assistant, or RA, is a caregiver providing assistance to residents under the supervision of the LPN and/or RN. Resident Assistants provide compassionate care that is respectful of each resident's needs, values and wishes. Job Specific Competencies Principal Responsibilities: Core Competencies: Supports the Trinity/ SPHP Vision, Mission, Values in all encounters with residents and families Adheres to the SPHP Code of Conduct Demonstrates accountability as an individual and team member in meeting basic resident and family needs Clinical Competencies: Resident Assistants provide the following nursing services under the supervision and direction of an LPN or RN across the continuum of care at SPHP. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility in a respectful, compassionate manner.
