OverviewResponsible for ensuring the continued site adherence to the Stryten Energy quality plan. Provide technical support to all site personnel as required while maintaining incoming, in process, and outgoing quality. Troubleshoots quality problems, provides prompt corrective actions to rectify quality issues, and monitors supplier part quality. Have a thorough working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality system requirements.
Responsibilities- Maintain Chemical Lab testing equipment maintenance schedules and keep an active log for chemicals for freshness and ordering for both QA and Oxide labs.
- Manage all QS Infinity databases - maintain, update, download data, update data base with new product lines / SKUs, verify that Control limits are being utilized, and reactions to out of control conditions are being addressed. Expand the SPC data base into other areas of the plant as applicable.
- Supplied part quality. Work with Floor Quality Auditors when supplied parts issues occur. Communicate with Supplier, Stryten SQE and Procure on SCARs. Keep Department Supervisors aware of Supplier concerns through Hold Tag Management.
- LPA participation - participate in LPA practices and work with QA Manager and plant Operations to identify high risk areas to audit and maintain accurate data collection to find root cause and eliminate them. These efforts should be tied to SCRAP and REWORK (NFTT PPM). Create database tools to track and document where defects are coming from and work with the teams to resolve these issues.
- Product Electrical Compliance Testing - work closely with the Electrical Testing Tech to know when negative trends are happening. Work to create KPIs to be proactive in investigations into poor performance.
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of PPAP parts through the site process - manufacturing feasibility (MFF) for supplied components and compliance to Stryten Energy procedures for manufactured parts.
- Manage all customer complaints and work with plant Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality to respond and drive corrective actions to closure. Work with the team on problem solving initiatives and link actions and outcomes to Control Plans, PFMEA's, site inspection points, and Customer returns.
- Shared responsibility with plant Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality that all PFMEA's are updated with related documentation.
- Provide day-to-day quality and technical support to all manufacturing disciplines and quality assurance in the form of quality plans, procedures, and engineering support.
- Participation in new product and process development. This will include the revisions to Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and current testing techniques. Participation in PFMEA reviews and development of new testing requirements.
QualificationsEducation, Experience, Certifications:
- Minimum of 4-year technical degree in science, engineering, or quality.
- If no College Degree, must have 5 years or more experience as a Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing facility.
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) desired.

- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Proficient in problem solving - root cause analysis, 5 why, Fishbone, Fault Tree, etc.
- Must be quality and customer oriented
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable in ISO9000 quality standards; APQP methodology; Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAPs
- Knowledgeable in Six Sigma and Lean tools
- Familiarity with Quality Operating Systems
- Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment on multiple projects
- Strong skills in statistical methods
- Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills -Windows-based programs
