About the Company: The Cook M&A advisory team delivers transaction focused strategic advice to private equity investors, family offices, corporations, executives and owners in buy-side transactions. We work with businesses across all industry sectors and sizes to understand the market, identify potential acquisition targets, assist in due diligence and resolve transaction issues throughout the process. About the Role

About the Role: An exciting opportunity is available for a driven and visionary Director of M&A Sales and Origination to join our growing organization. In this role, you will drive and lead a team of 10 origination professionals as well as oversee an industry sector. You will develop and implement strategies to drive growth and work closely with industry stakeholders to build and maintain relationships with key private equity firms in your industry sector. The ideal candidate will have a passion for business development, relationship building, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced M&A environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead your sector-driven origination team and drive the development of new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and meet business targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients (nationwide private equity firms), partners, and internal teams
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of your sector team
  • Provide regular reports on business performance and market trends to senior management
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful deal origination and execution.
  • Strong network of industry contacts and/or ability to build new relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of managing people, delivering results and driving growth
Pay range and compensation package

Base Salary between $150,000 - $200,000 (DOQ) with significant commission based on performance metrics.
