As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our compliance and risk management function to ensure we set the bar for excellence.We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Compliance to lead our compliance and risk functions. This individual will oversee compliance and risk teams, manage policies and processes, and ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and operational standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, expertise in building and optimizing compliance frameworks, and the ability to partner closely with General Counsel, executive leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor compliance and risk management teams.
• Design, implement, and continually improve compliance and risk management frameworks, policies, and processes.
• Build out and enhance AML (Anti-Money Laundering) programs, including monitoring, reporting, and escalation processes.
• Partner with General Counsel on regulatory interpretations, enforcement matters, and corporate governance requirements.
• Provide training, coaching, and ongoing feedback to compliance and risk staff to build a culture of compliance and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
• Monitor and report on compliance performance and risk exposure to senior leadership and board committees.
• Lead investigations alongside the Director of Fraud and oversee reporting requirements.
• Innovate and proactively build new processes, tools, and departments to support the company's growth.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AML frameworks and related regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and manage compliance and risk management programs.
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, fintech, gaming, or iGaming a plus).
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

This position is onsite at our Boston HQ located next to South Station.Seniority level
